The Queen married husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh back in 1947 and together the couple share eldest son and heir apparent Prince Charles, as well as Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. Through Prince Charles, who is now married to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the Queen has grandsons Prince William and Prince Harry, whose mother Princess Diana tragically passed away in 1997. The monarch is also grandmother to Princess Anne’s children Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, Prince Andrew’s daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Prince Edward’s children James Mountbatten-Windsor, Viscount Severn and Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor. The Queen also has eight great-grandchildren: the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis; the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor; Peter and Autumn Phillips’ daughters Savannah and Isla Phillips and Zara and Mike Tindall’s daughters Mia and Lena Tindall. After ten year romance, William finally popped the question and asked Catherine to marry him while they were holidaying in a lodge at the foot of Mount Kenya. On 29 April 2011, the iconic couple tied the knot in a lavish white wedding at Westminster Abbey and the duo became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The royal couple welcomed their first child, Prince George, in 2013. He was followed by Princess Charlotte in 2015 and Prince Louis in 2018. William lives with Catherine and their three children at Kensington Palace, in London. They also spend time at their country home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, situated on the grounds of the Queen's Sandringham Estate. Prince William is also known for his role in the British Army and the Royal Air Force and worked as a helicopter pilot in the Search and Rescue Force. She has become one of the favourite faces of the British royal family, and is often seen as the firm's 'secret weapon' because of her quiet hard work. Sophie dedicates her time and efforts as a royal to several fields, including agriculture, avoidable blindness, as well as provisions for people with disabilities and opportunities for young people. The Countess became the first ever Patron of London College of Fashion in 2013, and she’s also announced in 2019 that she is committed to champion the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda and the UK’s Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (PSVI).
